Without childcare I would have not been able to go back to work after having my infant 3 months ago. I also would not have been able to return to middle school after having my daughter 13 years ago. I have a 3 month old son and a 13 year old daughter. The biggest struggle with childcare is getting it at an affordable cost. Not only is it hard to get a voucher to get subsidized child care but, once you have a voucher it is made extremely difficult to keep the price you pay down. You are unable to work too hard to make money for other bills because the more you work to get ahead on other bills the more the parent fee goes up. It really is just a never ending cycle and can be very overwhelming, especially for single parents.
